Do you DWELL well?

Confession: I don’t. I am a task oriented, executing machine, who thrives on a to-do list done.

This wiring is valuable in many situations but not in response to the invitation to, “be still and know I am God.” (Psalm 46:10 NIV)

When the invitation to abide first began to stir in my soul – I wanted to run and keep “doing” more. I longed for rest for my tired and weary soul, but I found comfort in having busy hands. I was confident I could “do” well…I wasn’t sure if I could “dwell” well.

I slowly, timidly began to respond to the invitation to cease my striving and live from a place of abiding. I discovered an abundant feast has been prepared for us in His Dwelling Place.

I want to invite you to join me on the journey. To fix a cup of a tea (this is my favorite) or coffee and let’s journey together as we learn to Dwell well – to cease striving and live from a place of abiding in the overwhelming love of Jesus – in our everyday, ordinary moments.
